A couple of weeks ago someone posted a question about running a tv/vcr in their Westy, worried that the alt. couln't handle the load.I have this combo ( sep. units though, 5" B&W tv, with a VCP I bought at Target for $60.00) in my Westy, used it last weekend on the way to Everybus 2000 for my 7 yr old daughter, and I cannot say enough good things about this setup when traveling with kid(s). It kept her entertained through breakdowns (6!), and at the campground during the rain. She brought 2 Pokemon movies, The Love Bug, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang ( favorite line: 'Atsa fine piece-o-junk you got there, my boy). Anyway, I too was worried about the alt. being able to take the load, so I hooked it up to my portable battery, which lasted the trip down, while we were there, and the trip home. Next to the porta-potti, this has become a "must have" item on trips from now on. Jeff S. |
