I had bought an engine from AVP and am having problems...some sort of compression leak causing coolant level pressure as well as fluid level to rise. We have decided to send the engine back to them for repair. To R&R the original engine was $780 (65 an hour) AVP is claiming they pay under their warranty 36 an hour which is, they say the national average. Has anyone had experience with AV. and their warranty policies, a national average, or any personal experience that I may find useful in the process of dealing with the whole repair/$36 dollar an hour deal that I am getting involved in? My mechanic believes that anyone who charges 36 an hour will most likely be working on my van with two rocks! By the way the 65 an hour refers to a labor rate in L.A. Ca. (The dealer in my area is 70 an hour) Thanks Rob |
