This post reminded me of something my ex husband used to do...he'd never
squeeze the gas pump handle all the way when filling the tank, but would fill
it very slowly.  He always said that if you fill the tank fast, you get foam
on top, and even though you fill the tank to the point of back splash, it's
not really full once it settles.

Now, over the years, I learned to only believe half of what he said, and
since the divorce, I always pump the gas at full force!!  Any thoughts on
this?
