Bill,

Well, yes, and no. The piezzo unit is definately what I hear ticking.

But I thought pressing the button doesn't make it tick. Pressing the button just overrides a thermal gas cutoff valve to allow gas to flow even though there's no heat/flame. (could be wrong though..)

-I've got no idea what (action) makes it tick. Maybe a lack of heat?

-The guys at Hoch motors haven't had this van yet. The fridge is completely original. (the price was artificially inflated at another bay area dealer instead) I've only seen one Hoch van with that 'electronic sparker', but it was apparently fitted by someone else.
