I USED to be one of those guys furiously pumping and pushing after practically passing out from blowing into a piece of plastic tubing.

Now I can't remember the last time that my stove didn't light on the FIRST try.

Here's my secret, actually somebody posted this on the list some tome ago, so here goes. . . . .

Pre-warm the combustion chamber or pre-cool the fridge whichever way you want to think about it by running the fridge on the battery on your way home from work or something, or plugging it into AC at home for 30 to 45 minutes until the fridge is actually starting to get cold.

After things are getting cool, I light the stove just to make sure I've got propane in the lines and let it run for a few moments until I have a nice blue flame (no yellow) then I turn off the stove.  This ensures that you have propane in the lines.

I then follow the directions that are printed on the inside of the refrigerator door EXACTLY as they are printed and the frig lights first try every time.
