Katy,
They are called IDIOT lights, which are there to tell even idiots when something is
wrong. As Ken said, you have no responsibility in this case, since they did nothing
when the van TOLD them there was a problem. They have learned an important lesson,
and the expense of it will keep it in their minds forever.
