I was having a low power problem after replacing most of the plastic and rubber and wires after the engine fire. I accidentally discovered which cylinder was not firing. I was creepering around under the engine after I had started it a few times. I accidentally touched the number 2 exhaust pipe. It was stone cold. The other three exhaust pipe were hot (dang I love this test). I discovered that since #2 was cold that was where my problem was. It turned out to be a bad fuel injector. I also discovered that I could switch injector connectors on a side and the amazing vanagon will still start and run! I also found unplugging one spark plug wire at a time did not make a big difference in how it idled, this was while I still had he bad injector. Anyway the Turtle Girl got smogged on Sat. and new license plates today. P.S. Anybody have a complete Skylight assembly for sale, the PO removed this one and put flat plastic instead. p-mail me if you do.

See y'all on the road Cary San Jose, CA. '85 Westy "Turtle Girl"
