Subject: HELP/starter/UPDATE
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

A little less stranded in Chicago... but still on shaky ground:

I got the starter to operate by grounding directly to the solenoid ground strap. Grounding to the starter body did not help.

Although it's very green, the tranny to frame ground strap looks solid. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the ignition switch suggestions but it's not that (I've been operating and starting with toggle and momentary switches for a couple of years now) :-).

Thanks for any suggestions (we want to depart for home tomorrow (Thursday) morning).
