Golden Age passes are for those over retirement age. Nothing directly to do with AARP. Gives you free entry to Nat'l parks, monuments, seashores, battlegrounds, etc. Does not get you anything off once in the park, like camping, concessions, etc.

Golden Eagle pass gets about the same thing, but costs $50 per year. They are talking about raising the price to $100. At 50 it's a heck of a deal if you use the parks at all.
