I was able to do this perfectly. I should have mentioned it in my previous post.

At the auto paint supply store, they sell this attachment for a HIGH! speed drill. It is basically a rubber disk, with a metal post in the centre. The post goes into the chuck of the drill.

So you try to catch the edge of the plastic wheelguard with the rubber disk as it spins.

In my case, the drill was not too fast, so it didn't work very well, but it did lift a corner. I basically tugged the thing until I got a little more off, then I grabbed the loose end with pliers and pulled it all off.

The adhesive will remain on. This you remove with thinner, and a bit of elbow grease. I had to scrape it with my finergnails to loosen it after the solvent had worded on it, then wiped it away with the cloth and thinner. It all came off, and there were no marks on the paint from the process.

Yes, I am going to use rockGuard as a replacement for it. I do not want to put the rockguard on top on a sticker. If you need replacement stickers for other vans, I believe that the Bus Depot carries them.

My instructor said the rockguard is about ten bucks a can, and he suggested I get two cans to be safe. I will use white product, and will paint it afterwards.

Hope this helps,

Marshall Ruskin
