Running on empty!
Ya know which light, the litle red ones in the center
console. They also come on when you turn the ignition
on. It is really really empty when the oil pressure
light comes on and the van starts bucking!
It's a Volkswagen! it dont need no silly Low Fuel
light! Just reach and turn the reserve tank handle
for an extra gallon.... ;-)
Ok enough humor, I was on empty, at the bottom of the
gauge and I was able to put in 17.5 gallons in my
Syncro. Cost me $25 friggin dollars for 87 octane.
None of the lights had come on yet and I was coasting
down the hill to the the gas station.
Of course you all know that fuel capacity varies with
temperature of the gasoline so we can all be off 1/4
to 1/2 a gallon on this. Assuming we trust the fuel
pump reading and they arn't scamming a gallon here and
there.
Cheers
