Greetings all- Daily reader of list, in need of assistance... 1. Over the last week or so, noticed slight hesitation at speed lasting only a split second or so. (regardless of how long running) My mechanic couldn't see me 'til Tuesday so... 2. Driving around today, normal mix of highway & around town. Hesitation became more frequent. Vehicle stalled. (at idle, at a stoplight, rpm's dropped 300-400 and out like I turned it off) Van restarted with ease and ran normally except for occasional hesitation. 3. Hour later, still driving, stopped for fuel (premium, as usual) restarted with difficulty. (start, stall. start, stall.) Slight fuel fumes after restart. 4. Made it to 1st stoplight, stalled. Restart, stall. Start and runs normally to get me home. Fuel fumes after restart, still lingering an hour after getting home. I don't want to over emphasize the fumes as they may be a result of consistent restarts, but necessary to accurately describe my symptoms. No signs of stall or poor idle prior to today. I am guessing fuel line or injection problems, but I certainly am not a technician of any kind. I would appreciate the input of those who may have some insight to this matter. I do own a Bentley, and could likely solve simple problems, but will otherwise point my mechanic in the right direction on Tuesday. Thanks, as always, for your efforts.
