I wrote the other day about low oil pressure at idle and then at anything less than 2000 rpm. It gets worse. Today I started the old girl up and she is putting out white smoke! I have a sick feeling in my guts. I checked prices of rebuilt engines at Boston Engine. Seems like this is the place to go after reading the list for the last several months. I am in California and Boston Engine is back east. Anybody have a good experience out west (northern California) with an engine rebuilder? I would do it myself but just don't have the time. It also sounds like it is not very cost saving to do the rebuild myself. Cary in San Jose, CA. '85 Westy "Turtle Girl" |
