I have heard that the Porsche G50 trans' bellhousing needs expensive shortening to fit a VW, as the overall trans length is too great, displacing the drive flanges and engine too far back. Can anyone confirm this? The information MAY have been referring to a shorter VW such as a Bug or Type 3, I'm not sure. But I suspect it may have been pure bull.
