Barry, there is a light behind the main heater control also. Hard to get at though. One way is to remove the plastic housing over the instrument panel, the one where the master brake cylinder is located. Then remove the instrument cluster, four screws, the wire harness plugs and the speedo cable which snaps out. Then you will be able to see & reach the small light bulb behind the main heater control. It may just be loose not burned out. it's a flimsy set-up to say the least. I fiddled with mine many times before I got it working reliably. Good luck !
