You might also look at the Kumho 852 series. I have four 195R-14s on my Westy. They have a load rating of 104. The 205R-14 are about 109.

These are an All Season tread, but I don't know how they would work in sloppy weather.

The company compares them to the Goodyear Wrangler AP or the Cooper Discoverer. I had a set of Kumho highway tires on my 83.5 Westy, and was quite satisfied.

I'll post more after I put some highway miles on these.

<snip> >What you should worry about, is getting tires that match or exceed 97 >in >the load index. This is what is required for a Vehicle with the total >weight, >such as the Vanagon or Eurovan. > This information is stamped on the sidewall of every tire and is included on most tire manufacturer website specification lists. There is no tire in the 205/70-14 size with such a load rating except the Michelin MXT. If you go up to 215/70-14 you can find several tires with a load rating of 96. For a load rating of 98 you will have to go to 215/75-14 or 225/70-14. In my experience, 215 width tires are fine for the alloy wheels, but 225 width tires are on the upper end of what is suitable for that rim size. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
