Subject: Ignition timing on '87 Syncro
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi Guys!

On page 28.42 in my bentley, there are instructions for ignition timing

In the last paragraph for adjusting with timing light it says,"Notch on V belt pulley must match separating line on crankcase. That is where mine has been running but I have discovered that it has a lot more snap when set at about 3 degrees BTDC.

The paragraph above this talks of 5 degrees BTDC being displayed directly on "tester".

I want all the power I can get out of the engine but don't want to burn holes in the pistons.

Thanks for your help on this.

Bob
