Subject: New Coil Springs

I am currently looking into having new springs made for the sagging Westy suspensions and early 80s passenger models. I have already had some done for Syncros. I need the help of some owners in deciding what specs the replacement springs should be. Please send me these measurements of your Westys and passenger models.

Park on a LEVEL surface. Measure from the center of the wheel up to the edge of the wheel well. Write this down for all 4 wheels and send it to me along with the year and options of your Vanagon.

So far it looks like the 80-83 models used weaker springs and are more prone to the sagging problem. Later models had longer and stiffer springs and I may have some similar to these made.

You can buy new springs from the dealer but the cost is high. I aim to beat this by half at least. Let me know if you are interested but please send your measurements at the same time.

I am not working on lowering kits at this time. These are for raising the sagging Vanagons to the optimal stock performance of the 84-87 models.
