I think everyone's answered this by now. Here's my own .02 Euro on MSDS. I had some dealings with Martin Schneider when I lived in the US & found him extremely helpful. Product arrived promptly & was well packaged. I bought his MSDS Clean Air Act intake filter and adaptor for my '88 Wolfie. One of the reasons I picked it up was because it has a K&N-type reusable air filter & I knew that over here I would probably have difficulty getting a replacement stock filter as 2.1 wbx vans are a bit rare!

Anyways - what I wasn't expecting was the difference in power and engine note that the intake filter provided. YMMV, but I definitely noticed a difference. This product isn't listed on the vanagon page, but you can find it here:
