We bought our 90 Westy in Wiedenbruck on the European Delivery program and have had it ever since. We had it 6 years in Saskatchewan where we used it almost as a daily driver and we didn't have a garage! And it quite often went below -32 (Fahrenheit or Celsius it doesn't matter - both the same at that temp!)

At first we had running problems and cutting out and everyone said we needed gas line anti-freeze and of course it didn't help. Until we happened upon the AFM harness fix and it has been wonderful ever since.

Other problems were starter motor (rebuilt Bosch unit), water pump, replace left bank exhaust pipe muffler and tail pipe, replace hydraulic lifter to #4 cylinder and replaced 2 water pipes.

And that's really it. The rest was just routine maintenance. Nothing elaborate. No head gasket leaks. No blown engines. Front blower motor still blowing. So we are really happy with it and plan to keep it forever.

Of course now that I've made these bold claims...

Rich 90 Westy
