Along the same lines, I would like to put a forced air furnace into my '91 Westfalia Vanagon. I want the forced air because in my past experience the catalytic heaters are like a camp fire: you are hot on the side facing the heater and cold on the other side. We use our Vanagon for base camp for skiing hence it can be quite cold outside. In my previous experience with Campers a forced air furnace dries out wet ski clothing nicely, where the catalytic heaters don't.

I own a small forced air furnace that I salvaged from a pickup camper that I parted out last year but have not installed it in the Vanagon yet. It fits nicely under the rear seat but I am concerned that it may run too hot.

Has anyone else installed a small RV furnace in a Vanagon?

Hello Everyone, I own a 1991 Westfalia Vanagon and am interested in adding a few additions. I am looking for any recommendations/suggestions on what the best propane heaters, auxiliary batteries (I do have the box and relay under the drivers seat), and awnings are for a 91 Vanagon. I would also be interested in any recommendations of where I can purchase these items, and who might be able to install them in the New Jersey, Eastern PA, or Western NY area. Thank you for your help on this.
