ben, or anyone else,

i have a porsche 905 tranny sitting in my garage that i got free from a dude up in lime rock, ct while i was workin up there.

he got rid of it because he "couldn't put it back together right after i tore it down to rebuild it"

so, i need some advice on how exactly to take the tranny apart and put it back together.. keeping in mind that the most i have ever done on a car is take the engine out and put another engine in... (much simpler than it seems with the right tools)

anyways, if any y'all could give me a run-through on the steps i should take and what should i watch for while taking it apart i would be grateful.

oh yeah, the state of the tranny right now is that the end cap is off of it, and the piece ahead of it where the actual "shifter"? is has been partially removed, and the gear selector lever seems to be stuck in a messed up position.

thanks alot,
