Subject: Speakers and Door handles....Oh My
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

First let me say I love The List.....what a great forum we have.

I wanted to let everyone know that I have had a good experience in upgrading my poor old Blaupunkt original tape deck. Ive moved to the world of CDs.........an easy enough change..........pulling the original unit and putting a new one in. Speakers.........not as easy.

The original door speakers.......what VW Engineer did that? You take a 4" speaker and put it is the door so 25% is covered by the dash. I purchased some 6.5" Pioneer components. The driver side is mounted under the map pocket with just a bit extending into the metal kick panel.....I just have to be careful not to dent the speaker cover as I open the door with my left foot.

I do need some help from The List.............My driver side door handle is loose........real loose. Has anyone had this happen to them and if so......how can I fix.

Thanks in advance. Mike and "Bread" 91' Vanagon GL South Florida Libertad Elian
