Subject: noisy valves?
Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII

I returned from a 400 mile round-trip trip last weekend. The bus ran great. Yesterday i hop in her to run to drive a quick errand and once i started the old-girl up her valves where chattering. I waited about 15 seconds to see if the sound would go away, but no dice, so i shut her off. Then yesterday evening i changed the oil (20w50- dino, and mobile 1 filter- only one that i can find in town w/ a back flow valve)- and noise is still there. What now? Should i add some engine cleaner stuff? Marvel Mystery stuff? Could i have done damage by running it with this chatter?- Ahhhh- could i have jammed the pistons into the valves?? oh boy. i need a drink. thanks for the ongoing help -Matthew 84
