California Imports carries a decent selection of repair panels for the
Vanagon. I recently ordered and received a repair panel to fix the rocker
panel seam rust on my 90 Westy. This panel goes from the front fender skirt
seam to the rear quarter panel seam and includes the outer portion of the
rocker panel with the lower 8" of the side panel. There is a crease in the
panel where the horizontal seam is between the rocker and side panel. The
cost for the panel was $40 which seems like a real deal to me.

The internet address for this supplier is: www.vwcalimports.com. The online
California Imports catalog lists this part as the side panel. The diagram
does not depict this part as including the rocker panel however it does
include the outer "skin" portion of the rocker panel.

I just dropped the van off at my cousin's body shop to have the rusted areas
repaired. I'm looking forward to getting it back with a clean body
