Subject: Tach Installation??
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Recently picked up my new (1982) Westy and the previous owner was kind enough to supply a euro intrument cluster with tachometer (thanks, David). My question is HOW DO I INSTALL IT???

There is an electrical connector on the back, but I have no idea if it matches the one in there now (wouldn't expect it to). I am electrically inclinded, but would like to hear from anyone who has done this so that I don't reinvent the wheel.

Also, does anyone know if there would be a problem using the km spedometer. The odometer in mine is busted and I considered just using the apprantly new spedometer in the cluster since I don't mind converting the km to miles in my head. The question is, however, was the km spedometer meant for different ratios, i.e. when it reads 100km/hr in my US 82 is that really 100km/hr.

Thanks in advance for your help!

David
