Nuh-huh. That would put 100 psi or so into a system designed for about 1/3 psi.

You have to either supply a two-stage regulator with output at 11" WC (water column, about 6 ounces per square inch), or tap in upstream of the existing regulator. There is a product called Extend-a-Stay which will parallel the built-in tank with a BBQ tank, so you can draw vapor off the BBQ tank while you're staying put. I don't know whether it shuts off the main tank at the same time -- if not the main flow would come from whichever tank was warmer.

Just incidentally, a 16-oz (the wide stubby kind) propane tank would run one burner about 4 hours.
