Half way back from Chicago, I blew the 02 sensor out of my exhaust (loud... yes). Once I got home, a put a threaded plumbing plug in the hole in the exhaust as a temporary "fix" until I get the new sensor from Ron (I hope). The engine ran inefficiently w/out the 02 sensor, blowing exhaust out the hole but once I "plugged" it, I experienced *total* power loss trying to climb a hill with a moderate load. I rigged the old 02 sensor back in temporarilly as a test and she ran ok. Let me repeat: 02 sensor out; hole open: inefficient but okay power 02 sensor out; plug in: catastrophic power loss (dead stop on hill). Can this catastrophic power less be attributed to the combination of missing 02 sensor *and* plugged hole? If not, I'm afraid of what I may be in for once I get the new 02 sensor installed.
