I replaced my auxiliary battery a couple of years ago (the one under the driver seat in my 86 vanagon ASI) with a standard cranking battery. My whole system is set up with a second fuse box located in the lower driver side cabinet for the interior lights and furnace and a funny blue box in the engine compartment that I guess keeps the main battery from being drained. Aside from the problem of the more frequent replacement for the auxiliary battery as compared with a deep cycle, will this cause any other problems that I should be aware of?
