David - See http://www.vanagon.com/ and look in the Info section for tire suggestions. I just put on a set of Kumho 852s that I bought at Les Schwab (NW US tire dealer) and been quite satisfied. They are still listed as current on Kumho's web page, and there is a dealer locater section if you want to find someone close to you - http://www.kumhousa.com/gpages/mainpage.htm How many miles did you get on your set? They strike me as an excellent value, especially for a tire with a load capacity of 104 (the Westy only needs 97) - Mike Finkbiner '87 Westy Moscow, ID >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Okay, I have a 1988 Vanagon GL with the weekender package. I have a = problem: I can't find proper tires. Apparently these machines originally = came with six-ply tires. I have been running Kumho Commercial A/S 852's, = but they are getting tough to find. What else can I use? David W.
