Subject: CVJoint Remove prob./Strange Coolant drip
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Dear listees. Some problems just take a shade tree approach to them. Was removing CV joints to replace with new ones and the inboard CV joint on the driver's side wouldn't shake loose after the screws came out. First tapping than hammering and neither worked. Very frustrated at this point(saw no damage to tranny flange to pinch the joint) and had ahd them out last fall for the clutch rand r :even a pipe wrench wouldn't pop it. So, I put on my very best Joey Chitwood impersonation and revved up the motor and popped the clutch. Still nothing loose. Third time was the charm, though. Any thoughts as to what caused the joint to stick in there like that? The new CV joint fit in there perfectly, so wuzup?

Also am getting orange coolant dripping from the bottom of the Oil Cooler on my 2.1. Logic says It could be a number of things. I had the oil cooler off recently to replace the o ring and since then have replaced the waterpump. The 2 short hoses aren't that old, but could a head gasket drip get over there? Always a possibility the oil cooler is actually leaking. Suggestions anyone? thanks
