Subject: Remounting door speakers
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I'll be remounting my stock door speaker shells soon. (Using the recently discussed Blaupunkt 3.5" speakers mounted inside). It looks like the two speaker wires need to be hooked up prior to screwing the exterior faceplate into the interior receptor shell. Since it takes a number of turns to cinch up the unit wouldn't that put too many excess twist turns into the speaker wires which would also be revolving? My plan is to manually counter turn the wire leads prior to attachment and hope that will sufficiently cancel out all or most of the final mounting rotation turns. Am I worrying too much? We anal retentive types just never seem to know. :-)
