Curt; Take heart. About 90K miles ago, unbeknownst to me, my 86 had a cylinder fill with antifreeze. The only symptom I had was the starter would engage but not turn over. Being in a hurry, and sure nothing serious could have happened to my trusty steed, I proceeded to roll down hill trying to kick start her. I would get her rolling about ten to fifteen miles per hour and pop the clutch. The back tires would proceed to lock up and drag through the gravel. DOH!! Well there is 195K miles on the clock now and I haven't thrown a rod yet.
