I'm new to this list. Well not really. I've been lurking in the shadows
on and off for years but I guess I didn't have anything important to say
until now.

I've suffered a meltdown!  Don't ask how it happened, you can guess
pretty easily.  Suffice to say I'm in dire straights. To be a bit more
specific, I've got a cracked head that's not worth repairing
(professional opinion, not just mine) and an engine that might be just
fine but I'm not absolutely 100% certain.  Aye, and there's the rub!

Obviously I need a head. But I'm not inclined to throw mega-bucks at
this engine for a new/rebuilt head if there's a chance that the motor is
huffed. So therefore, I'm throwing myself down at the mercy of the list
for some help or suggestions.

I need to buy/borrow/rent/lease a 2.1 head long enough so that I can
throw it on the old engine for a quick test.  If the engine checks out
OK than I can go ahead and do the job properly.  So it doesn't matter if
the old head you've got is badly pitted or has a slight valve leak, etc.
as long as it's functional enough for me to run the engine for 5 minutes
without having coolant pouring out in a big stream.

So what about it?  If you want to sell me an old pitted one, or loan one
to to me for a couple weeks for a few bucks here's your chance.
Obviously I'll pay for the shipping.

HELP!
