Everything you listed is the total "thermostat" for the air cooled. Obviously, You need to have the flaps installed (which many duffus mechanics eliminate), ALL of the tinware, and a good seal around the periphery of the motor tin.

Keep cool,

Hello all, Upon furthur inspection and discussion previosly I discovered my vanagon did not have a thermostat installed. Believing this may be a problem I was wondering what parts I would need to get this working and quantity of each. Bus depot parts include Thermostat, Washers, Pulley, screw (#), Sealing Washer, bracket, cable, and union nut. Just wandering if this would do the job?

Thanks Jay 80 Vanagon

Still looking for the place where the water tastes like wine!?!
