Dave and Fellow Listers,

In a recent post you mentioned a "cable assist" mechanism associated with the pop-top. Could you please elaborate?

On my 1983 Westfalia, the roof would stay in various positions, and was fairly easy to lift when opening. My 1987 is a booger to lift, and won't stay in any partially open position.

Thanks in advance, Jon
