Try your library for a Clymer manual, or (believe it or not) a Chilton's Manual for those older VW's. I think both have the hose routing. Haynes does as well.

I have been told that I have a Vacuum advance/retard distributor on my engine which was used on the 76 Bus and some 914s (thanks Bully!!). Now I am not able to get my hands on a Bently manual for those years, but could anyone tell me where the two vacuum connections go on vacuum advacne? The one facing away from the dist. goes to the throttle body. Where does the one facing the dist. go??

Thanks,

David
