I used Rain-X once. The windshield wipers never worked right after that till I replaced both the windshield and the wipers. Streaked something horrible for a year or two. Gotta admit that the product worked, and if I were in a different climate, I might use it, but here in sunny Phoenix, It doesn't rain for months on end. Seems silly to apply the stuff every two weeks when it only rains every two months.
