There was a discussion of BA6 heaters on the list a couple of months ago--February or March, I believe. Search the archives.

I remember because I sent a couple of people the wiring diagram from my '80-'81 VW manual (pre-Bentley) but I have sinced checked a Bentley and it does include the diagram, too. Same with some trouble shooting pages.

So the Bentley is the first step.

<Friday content> Computer support first question: "Have you checked that it is plugged in?" VW translation: "Have you checked the breaker underneath where the heater switch/thermostat/timer is? Sounds like this isn't your problem, though.

When you get it working, remember--use it or lose it. Things like the BA6 are happier being used regularly rather than once every N years.
