Thanks for all the help with the problems with my 87. It turned out that I had swapped #1 and #2 plug wires during the course of troubleshooting (doh). I did get a good look at the motor and did a lot of preventive maintenance. I will be replacing the computer temperature sensor near the thermostat housing since I'm having some cold and hot start problems. I hope this fixes the original no-start problem. Again, thanks all of you for your help.

One other thing, there was a thread about replacing the rear speakers in a Westfalia. How do you get to the rear of the speakers? Which panel has to come out?
