RE: Phunky Phridge SmellsPeter,

I'm not sure how the Dometic door on the Westfalia works. My Adventurewagen has a Norcold brand refrigerator and its' door is locked in place by a metal pin on a chain. Supplied was a 3.5 inch long double bent piece of metal shaped like: |_____| , which allows one to open the door a few inches and drop the piece into place and lock the door in an open position. The refrigerator will air out nicely with the door in that slightly ajar position. After a few days I close the door. So far no nasty odors. Garrett Adams 83.5 Adventurewagen GL Stockton, California

I simply take the door off whey I don't use the fridge. That's the easiest thing I could think of. Works great! No more bad fridge smell in the van. Don't forget to remove the trays as well or they'll start flying in the next sharp left turn.

Cheers, Peter
