Hi all, My new transmission's being delivered tomorrow and should be installed sometime next week. I can give feedback onlist about the R&R guy if y'all want. He came highly recommended to me by local people and is in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in a little "town" called Fishersville. More on that later. While the guy was towing the Vanagon over the mountain to Fishersville, a truck driver flashed him and pointed to the back of the tow truck. Apparently the poptop had popped up and was bouncing up and down! Aaaauuugghhh!!! I had noticed one day when I closed a door that the poptop came up a little, but figured that I hadn't latched it properly. Being somewhat nervous about this, I checked the latch this morning, before it was supposed to be towed, and it was latched tight. Has anybody had this happen before? This isn't a common phenomenon I hope? What do you do to fix it? Thanks, Marc Perdue '87 Westy |
