Jeff/Florida Must advise, when I heard of the US bait and switch routine from Michelin I went over those tires with a fine tooth comb and there was no "Made in ___" anywhere on them. The code was the only way to know. Now that you mention it, I do recall seeing "Made in France" on Michelins before. Just like I've never seen a Continental without "Made in Germany" clearly ledgible.
