Here's my proposal for the paypal free $5 sign up-referral fee. Everybody who signs up, designate the same person as the sponsor. That person collects all of the referral fees. Then we have a raffel or something where everyone who has done the referral gets an equal chance to win the referral fees. Or we could have 1st, 2nd and 3rd. If $100 perple did it, the pot would be $500, and each of the 100 who signed up would also get $5 each sign up fee. This does not seem illegal or fradulent in any way. Paypal gets what it wants...new cutomers...and we are prime users...for list purchases. Who cares if people all assign to the same person for referral...the person assigning does not get the money, only the choice who to refer to. I suppose if one person got 800 referrals, there would be some notice. But paypal gets exactly what it wants through the referral program, and extra group exposure to boot, and interest in who wins the raffel. If this sounds crazy, i'll drop it. But if 200 people did it, that would be $1000 toward vanagon/syncro parts. You have to register a credit card to get the $5 sign upo fee, but you don't have to buy anythoing or use the service ...it gets credited immediately. steve |
