You'll of course see any low spots in the finish, you'll see the black in the tan primer. But you used 320 grit only? I helped my friend wet-sanding his 1970 MB a few years ago. We used 800 grit to sand off the guide coat before the gloss black was misted over the car. It was almost as shiny before as after the paint was applied.
