Subject: Fuel mileage: normal?
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Don't want to start some long thread, just confirm what I think I know . . . My 84 Westy 1.9L gas engine is getting about 16.3 MPG. Normal? I hear about others getting 19 - 22 MPG but maybe that's the 2.1L?

I've replaced oxygen sensor, cap, wires, rotor, plugs, fuel filter, air filter, and so on. Should be running perfectly, seems to.

If this is way below normal, what is left to check/replace to get better mileage. Going on a very long trip and it's worth spending some to get better mileage.

Many thanks, PLEASE P-MAIL me as I'm not on list now.

Steve
