Sounds like what you probably need is one of the early beige 233MHz G3s. They're going for about the same as the 8600/9600 boxes & are much more upgradeable. They also use the newer-style DRAM and have fast ATA drives as standard instead of clunky SCSI-2. Pick up a 233MHz - it'll be way faster than your 6116 (or even an 8600/250). Later on, you could drop in a new 450MHz processor from PowerForce ....
