Subject: Re: [Syncro] Push start
Content-Type: text/plain

A couple of years ago when I had my 90 Carat transmission rebuilt, I chatted with the re builder about the Syncro transmission. He mentioned in passing to never try to push start any vehicle (especially the Syncro) in granny, low or reverse, puts too much pressure on the tranny and will actually blow a hole in the case. I always start in second and "ease" out the clutch and then de clutch as soon as the engine fires for a smooth start.
