Nonononono I wouldn't do that. Dometic practically *shrieks* to never ever ever stick anything but alcohol and compressed air in that orifice, most particularly anything metal. Aside from messing with the cross-section, what effect would a burr have on the flow characteristics of the gas?

Of course if you know what the I.D. is supposed to be and are equipped to make measurements to the necessary spec -- basically, ISTM if you are equipped to make a new orifice from scratch -- then Dometic's instructions probably don't apply to you.
