Now now, it's not *that* bad. <g> Radio Shack sells 1-ohm 10-watt resistors at 2/99c -- p/n 271-131. Give me a call and we can sort something out. 401 274-5827.

As to physically getting at the fan, it's easy. First you take the dashboard out, then you take the heater box out, then you split the heater box in half (the resistor is in there too). Assembly is reverse of disassembly. <snerk>
